Okay, I officially hate the baseball playoffs.
While it actually takes considerable skill, talent, consistency, intelligence, durability, and like a zillion other things to be one of the 8 best teams over a 162 game span, that all goes to shit in the playoffs, when any piece of shit team (Hello, St. Louis) or over, over, over, overrated lame-ass shortstop (Eckstein, David) can deliver a championship.
The St. Louis Cardinals went 83-79 this year. So they were something like the 14th best team in baseball.
And they are World Series champions.
I'm not saying it isn't fair - it's completely fair. The Yankees, Twins, Tigers, A's and Mets were all better teams, and they had every opportunity and blew it.
(And just for the record, the White Sox, Blue Jays, Red Sox and Angels are probably better than St. Louis, too. And maybe Seattle, Texas, Baltimore and Cleveland. Perhaps Tampa Bay, Kansas City and Montreal)
This is just hard to take. A .500 team won the World Series, and Doogie Howser won the MVP.

No MVP should have one infield hit, let alone three infield hits, one of which was a broken-bat piece of crap that should have been ruled an error even before Inge's terrible throw.

who the fuk r u to bad mouth the cards when they won the world series u cant be a shit team and win the world seires in baseball u just cant u can be kinda crappy and flukeishly win the super bowl cuz theres just 60 minutes to every stage in the playoffs but they have SERIES' in baseball the name is world SERIES genious how could the cards be so crappy as u say and take out the NL favourites the mets in 7 games and then humiliate the AL champ tigers its cuz there GOOD buddy they might of had a bad regular season to normal world series winners standards but they still pulled through in the clutch which is the world series series, just look at the new england patriots, they won 3 super bowls and only once did they have the best records but they pulled through in the clutch and won and thier a fucken dynasty and how can u say the cards suck after they just made the world series in 2004 and posted an amazing record in 2005 just cause your not the best in the regular seaosndosent mean u cant be the best in the post season and besides post season is more important than the regular season i dont see any teams throwing parades for having the best record do you?oh and i didint see the tigers anywhere near the world series trophy in 2006 as a matter of fact not for a while now what was it 91 oh ya thats not bad just 15 fucken years! oh and bartlet can lick ecksteains balls at least hes got 2 rings and 2 balls bartlett hasent got 1 of either. how sad
